How It Works

Students can choose the level of support they need. We offer weekly sessions at a set time, that are all recorded so they can be viewed at a later date. After the lesson, there will be work set which the students complete and return to the teacher, they then  receive feedback, creating routine and accountability while still allowing the flexibility that homeschooling offers.

We focus on building the skills needed to understand and achieve in English GCSE.

I created Homeschool Hive after working with many home-educated students who were bright and capable but often lacked structure and reassurance in English. I have over nine years’ teaching experience across mainstream schools, alternative provision and now full-time online, and I understand both the pressure of GCSEs and the challenges of homeschooling. It can be incredibly rewarding, but it’s also a lot for families to carry: planning, motivating and worrying about whether you’re doing enough, often without clear guidance.

I provide clear teaching, gentle encouragement and detailed feedback so students make steady progress while parents feel supported and reassured. I’ve had so many GCSE success stories by building confidence, working together and actually enjoying the process. I really do believe students thrive when they feel understood and when families know they don’t have to do it alone.
